Album Info:
Rolling stock with road numbers starting with 50 to 59 - Bulkhead Flats and Gondolas. Since the two sides of all wagon types are different, I treated the side on which the vacuum pipes are mounted, or where this was not practical, the side on which the brake wheel is mounted to the left of centre, as Side B. Further, since they describe brake systems and not wagon types, I left out the letters D, L, R, V and J in the wagon letter codes. Where applicable, the various complete letter codes and new class numbers for each wagon are included in brackets in the descriptions. The meaning of these omitted letters follow below. .....oo..oo..... D in position 2, 3 or 4: Dual Power Vacuum Brakes. .....oo..oo..... L in position 2, 3 or 4: Air Brakes. .....oo..oo..... Class DZA-9 wagons entered service between 1972 and 1974 and were converted from Class DZ-9 in 1979. They are dropside open wagons designed to transport general goods. The type 1 wagons have pressed outside braces on their bulkheads.
