On track 4?
Title:  On track 4?
Description:  NR-2 is making an unusual appearance on track 4 in Guilford. Track work on #2 from Shoreline Jct to Guilford made the Corridor single track so NR-2 is taking the siding and will take track 2 west to Branford once some opposing passenger traffic has passed. On the left are the former water tower and two-stall engine house in Guilford.

NEC over the West River
Title:  NEC over the West River
Description:  A morning Amtrak train destined for Boston, MA sprints over a crumbling bridge spanning the mighty West River. Yes, this is called a river. In fact, there are at least 2 West Rivers in Connecticut, one which pours into New Haven Harbor, and this one which feeds into Guilford Harbor.

NEC near Guilford CT in 1975
Title:  NEC near Guilford CT in 1975
Description:  Looking northbound in 1975 on what is now an electrified Northeast Corridor at Guilford, CT. The area to the right was once a small yard for the old New Haven Railroad. The brick structure to the left was actually an old two-stall engine house that dated back to the late 1800's. Hard to say if it is still there.
