Strategic Air Command car
Title:  Strategic Air Command car
Description:  Seen here, in the former CofG/NS yard in Dothbn AL, are photos of a car formerly used by the Air Force as part of their Strategic Air Command. It appears to be from the Cold War era and by the time this photo was taken had outlived it's purpose and'was now headed for scrapping. I have no idea how it ended up in Dothan AL or where it was headed.

Defect sticker on damaged boxcar
Title:  Defect sticker on damaged boxcar
Description:  This is a perfect example of a "CYA" sticker. CYA=Cover Your A**. It was placed on a flatcar carrying a damaged high cube boxcar into Dothan on the former CofG. Check out the notation: "Run on head end under observation". There is a bridge just east of Dothan that crosses over the old ACL trackage. Apparently this load would not pass under this bridge and the car was set out on a spur just east of the bridge.
