Conrail Shared Assests daily train from Oak Island to Port Reading Yard and then Browns Yard makes its way down the Garden State Secondary. Today, OI-16 train consist includes a very clean NS 3365 (SD40-2) and NS 1700 (SD45-2) in the Erie Lackawanna heritage scheme, pulling 90 cars. The train waited just a few yards north of the Rahway River until the bridge was lowered, then proceeded slowly passed the track workers doing construction in the vicinity. |
