Bankers
Title:  Bankers
Description:  For many years the small South Australia rail town of Tailem Bend has been the place where additional power was added to trains before they took on the up-to-2.5% grades of the Adelaide Hills. On this quiet Saturday morning Pacific National has a pair of units waiting to be added as "bankers" (helpers) to get a westbound container train over the hills. DL-class DL39 is a 1988-built 3300HP Clyde/GM, model AT42C.

Hot Train in South Australia
Title:  Hot Train in South Australia
Description:  Westbound Pacific National train MP7 runs quickly through the South Australia bush on its way to Adelaide and Perth. The "Superfreighter" is considered a hot train on this line; three NR-class units provide the power, including lead NR25, in special Indian Pacific paint. (and many thanks to Dave & Bruce, two local Gunzelers, for helping explain operations and other details to an otherwise confused Yank!)
