The Class 120/121 trainsets are dual-voltage, dual-gauge units capable of changing gauge without stopping at 30 kph /19 mph. Twelve units were ordered in 2001, and a further 45 units in 2004. Power output is 4 MW under 25 kV AC and 2.7 MW under 3 kV DC. The Class 121, as in picture 121 023, has no first class seats and therefore a higher capacity of 282 seats instead of 238 with the Class 120. |
