Title:  GN #A4 BONITA
Description:  GN business car #A4 (2nd), built by Barney & Smith in 1882 as coach #208, later rebuilt to business car #A23, later renumbered to #A4 (2nd), new center sills installed in 1927, rebuilt in 1930, later placed on display in Crystal Lake, IL, with the name BONITA applied as seen here, later renamed FARGO. Note that this car never had one of the two open platforms closed in as a vestibule. Besides both open platforms, the #A4 also still retains the older style of internal layout, with a lounge observation next to one platform and the dining room next to the other, with a kitchen, crew room, state room, and bedroom in between in that order from dining end to lounge end. Scanned with an Epson V550 from an original Kodachrome 35mm slide. Date is approximate. Photographer is unknown.

Description:  As Of July 2003 Before Remodeling Work completed in January 2006. Fortunately remodeling has left the outward appearance much as built in 1914. Once there was a leg of a WYE through the platform in front of the operators bay and a siding behind the foreground platform. View is to the South with Chicago to the Left and Harvard to the Right. Trains still run Left Handed since this is the CNW's Former Wisconsin Division.

At one time, trains from Elgin & Lake Geneva stopped here via a now removed wye track from the left of this picture. Left hand running Continues with Chicago to the left and Harvard/Janesville to the right of this view.
