Number 545 was built by the Brooks works of Alco in 1919 ( c/n 61238 ) to a USRA design, retired and sold for scrap in August 1956. Louis reports the location as Quincy, Illinois.

Description:  Burlington Junction GP11 8352 sitting on the former BN/CB&Q trackage it prowls along the town's waterfront. Built as RDG 602 in 1952, sold to ICG with a temporary number of '2'; rebuilt at Paducah into GP8 7737 (released 6/75), rebuilt again by Paducah as the road's prototype GP11 8301 in 4/78. Sold to PAL as 8352 and subsequently to BJRY.

Description:  Illinois Railway Museum's Chicago Burington & Quincy Nebraska Zephyr, running as Amtrak Train #972 highballs out of Quincy on the BNSF Brookfield Sub. starting its way back to Chicago Union Station, and its home of Union, IL later tonight. A sight and sound I never figured I would experience unfolded before my very eyes today and the "Train of the Goddesses" was opened up big time on home rails. Shot on black and white print film.
