Description:  This critter was parked at the M.A. Patout & Son sugar mill in Patoutville, Louisiana next to the company’s Cardinal track scale. It was coupled to Transportation Equipment, Inc. tank car TEIX 327, a 20,926-gallon car built by ACF in October 1979.

Description:  This 36-inch gauge 0-4-0T was built by H.K. Porter as serial number 6458 for M.A. Patout & Son, Ltd. and has been at ENTREPRISE PLANTATION at Patoutville, Louisiana for over 100 years. This locomotive was built in September 1920 and was the last steam engine built for a Louisiana plantation railroad.

Description:  M.A. Patout & Son SW9 1825 was at the company’s ENTERPRISE PLANTATION sugar mill at Patoutville, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in October 1953 as Pittsburg & Shawmut 234 and was renumbered P&S 1891 in 1975. It arrived at Patoutville in October 1996 and was repainted at the Louisiana & Delta’s shop in New Iberia in May 1997. It was pictured here 10 years later, in a well-weathered condition.
