Description:  NP Alco RS11 914 takes a spin on the turntable at the East Grand Forks roundhouse in February 1970, only a few weeks before the BN merger. At this time the road ran a daily train to Winnipeg from here behind 2 to 3 GP9s or RS11s. A trio of GP9s sit to the left. Scanned from a 126 print.

Title:  Working East Grand Forks Yard
Description:  NP GP9 363 switches the yard in East Gramd Forks MN on a cold day in February 1970. During this period GP9s and a few RS11s handled most trains on this line. The BN merger is only weeks away and the NP yard, station and roundhouse in East Grand Forks will soon be closed. 363 was delivered by EMD in 1958 and became BN 1942; it lasted until 0992 before being retired. Description:  The former-NP six-stall roundhouse at East Grand Forks MN. BN quickly closed the facility after the March 1970 merger and moved all engine activity across the river to the much larger ex-GN operation.
