Title:  Monument - Newton, Ms
Description:  While following the KCS line from Meridian west, I saw an unusual shape of something next to the mainline. Upon closer view, I found this very interesting Monument. It is located ajacent to where a road crossing has been removed. It can be presumed that it is a monument to someone who lost their life to a crossing accident. It is interesting that the railroad allowed it to be installed this close to the track.
