Former Midland Continental right-of-way
Title:  Former Midland Continental right-of-way
Description:  This underpass below the BNSF (former NP) near Spiritwood ND is one of the few tangible remains of the grandly named Midland Continental Railroad. Envisioned as a transcontinental line from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Galveston, Texas, the MICO quit after laying 77 miles of track in North Dakota and was abandoned in 1966.
