The only Jordan built wedge plow on the CN roster waitq for the call at Gordan Yard. This plow was orange at one time but was painted with this experimental black Teflon based paint in the late eighties. The goal of this paint job was to keep snow from sticking to the plow. |

| Description: |
CN Jordan spreader/plow, CN 68533, spotted on a former SOO spur at Frisby, WI (now part of Marshfield) on 22 Aug. '15. This is the former GBW X-190, the remnants of X-190 can be seen in the rust patch under the current road number. It was originally an early knuckle braced model, but it was later extensively rebuilt at the Jordan factory. Frisby was a small station, out of frame to right, that served the adjacent Wood County Asylum. The station was built ca. 1910, when the asylum was built, and was named in honor of Dr. Almah Frisby, a frequent visitor to the asylum on her inspection tours as a member of the state Board of Control. Frisby was Mile 268.1 on the C&NW Fond du Lac to Marshfield line and Mile 2.5 on the SOO Marshfield to Nekoosa line. Both roads ran parallel through here for about 80 years, until the C&NW rails were abandoned in 1981. The SOO rails were truncated out of frame to left quite a while ago as well. |
