It sure was nice of the railroad to complete some much-needed brush clearing along the tracks here so that train nuts like me can capture better views of their trains. Unfor}unately it also reveals the garbage dumped here illegally by lazy, stupid, inconsiderate 21st Century Americans. |

The depot was built in 1947 at the intersection of Depot St. and Draper St. to replace the old, wooden depot. Designed in the Art Moderne style, it originally had flat roofs. The current gabled roofs were added at some point after 1983. It became known as the north side depot after 1890, when the MLS&W, later C&NW, built their large, ornate depot south of the Fox River. That depot disappeared many years ago. |

The 75000-series 2-compartment woodchip gondolas seem to be recent acquisitions, ca. mid-'16. |
