CB&Q Class LO-6 87664
Title:  CB&Q Class LO-6 87664
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class LO-6 87664 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from Burlington Route Historical Society's publication, Burlington Bulletin 20 COVERED HOPPERS, edited by Hol Wagner: Although GATC had offered the larger 4,180 cubic-foot2 100-ton version of the Airslide car for several years, the Q did not buy any until 1964. And then, in three separate orders, it acquired a total of only 78 of the big 53-foot cars. Twenty-five Class LO-6 cars, numbered 85650 - 87674, were purchased in May 1964, followed in 1965 by three (!) identical LO-6A's numbered 87675 - 87677.

CB&Q Class LO-2E 87750
Title:  CB&Q Class LO-2E 87750
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class LO-6B 87750 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in August 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from Burlington Route Historical Society's publication, Burlington Bulletin 20 COVERED HOPPERS, edited by Hol Wagner: The other 50 Airslide cars of 4,180 cubic-foot capacity, classed LO-6B and numbered 87750 - 87799, were built in January 1966 and differed in a number of details from their 1964 and 1965 predecessors. First, though not visible, they were divided internally into two separate compartments. Externally, they had somewhat different vertical end bracing and, consequently, different hand brake mounting arrangements. They were also the only Q Airslides with the registered trade name stenciled on the cars - in the upper left-hand corner.
