Note the gray paint wearing off and revealing a light red to pinkish color (primer?). This car is lettered for phosphorous service and has a DOT/safety placard in the holder. |

The gray paint is peeling from large areas of the carbody. Note the "DOT--" lettering and larger than for most cars "checkerboard" at the car's rightmost edge. |
