Milwaukee Road #649 |
| Description: |
Built by Milwaukee Road Shops as Milwaukee Road #5772 "Granitg Falls" a Touralux-Coach for the Olympian Hiawatha in 1947. It was converted to a converted to 40-seat leg-rest coach for general pool service in May 1951 and renumbered #552. It was again rebuilt and renumbered around 1956 to #649. After retirement it was sold into private ownership. At the time of this photo it had been on the property for 3 days and was in the process of being cleaning up. |
