Description:  12S-1DR sleeper, Lot #6360, Plan #3410B, 1930, 1 of 9 such sleepers built in that Lot, 1 of 6 built for assignment to the PORTLAND LIMITED, retained by Pullman at the 12/31/1948 divestiture, sold 1965 to Jack Ferris' Private RR Cars, Inc., resold circa 1970 to Bear Creek Scenic/Bear Creek Junction RR (running on the Graham County RR, Topton, NC), later resold to the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern RR for their Railroad Town USA display in Roseburg, OR, resold in 1978 to the Moody Foundation for their Galveston RR Museum, resold in the 2010's to Iowa Pacific and stored in Alamosa, CO. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate Ektachrome 35mm slide. Date is approximate. Photographer is unknown.

Description:  Pullman heavyweight 12 section-1 drawing room (12S-1DR) sleeper WOODLAND (Lot #6360, Plan #3410B, April 1930), built for assignment to the PORTLAND LIMITED, remained in said assignment until June 1940, retained at the 12/31/1948 Pullman divestiture, sold in 1965 to Jack Ferris, d.b.a., Private RR Cars, Inc., later resold in circa 1970 to Bear Creek Scenic/Junction RR (Graham County RR) (Topton, NC), later resold to the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern RR for their "RR Town USA" static display (Roseburg, OR) and painted in IC colors, resold in 1978 to the Moody Foundation for their Galveston RR Museum, resold in the 2010's to Iowa Pacific and moved to storage in Alamosa, CO. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate Ektachrome 35mm slide.

Built by Pullman in April 1930 in Lot #6360 to Plan #3410B for the UP, retained by Pullman at the 12/31/1948 divestiture, sold to Jack Ferris in October 1965, to OP&E, to Galveston RR Museum, to Iowa Pacific/San Luis & Rio Grande (SLRG), stored on the SLRG/Rio Grande Scenic in Alamosa, CO. Description:  Built in 1930 by Pullman in Lot #6360 to Plan #3410B as a 12S-1DR sleeper, 1 of 9 such cars built in that Lot. 6 of these 9 cars were built for UP's PORTLAND LIMITED, including the WOODLAND. The other 3 cars were built for the CAPITOL LIMITED. At the 12/31/1948 divestiture, UP acquired 5 of the PORTLAND LIMITED cars; the WOODLAND was retained by Pullman. Pullman sold the WOODLAND to John W. "Jack" Ferris' Private Railroad Cars, Incorporated in October 1965. The Oregon, Pacific & Eastern RR in Roseburg, OR, later acquired the WOODLAND, and it was later resold to the Galveston RR Museum. Iowa Pacific acquired the WOODLAND from Galveston.
