UP 11 double bedroom (11DB) sleeper #1704 STAR RANGE (P-S, Lot #6959, Plan #6008, April 1956/July 1965, ex-Plan #4199 5 double bedroom [5DB] sleeper-24 seat club lounge LA GRANDE), rebuilt in July 1965, #1704 applied in August 1969, sold to Amtrak in December 1971 as #2253, converted from steam heat to head end power (HEP) in March 1984 as #2233, retired in October 2002 and resold to American Orient Express (AOE) as #800746 PACIFIC STAR, after end of AOE operations, car resold to Dave Hoffman d.b.a. Northern Sky Rail Charters. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate Ektachrome 35mm slide. Date is approximate. Photographer is unknown. |
