This is a detail close up of the MIlwaukee Road boxcar door taken by Richard "Dick" Berry. The photo shows a closeup of the welded "rib sides" constructed by the Milwaukee shops between 1937 to 1947. In all, they built 3,188 boxcars with this unique styling. The image was made from his original negative now in my collection. |
