The west and south sides of the DRI&NW depot at Moline, IL on 27 Jun. '14. The depot was built in 1900. Purchased by Frank Foundry Co. for office space in 1934. Purchased by City of Moline in 1994 for use as visitor center. It would have to be demolished or moved when a new bridge is built. The former Donahue, IA MILW depot, currently located at the Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village near Long Grove, Scott Co., IA on 28 Jun. ’14. The depot was built in 1870 by the Davenport & St. Paul Railroad. Circa 1874 it was owned by the DRI&NW. From 1879 until it closed in 1970 it was owned by the MILW. It was moved to its current location on 24 May ’78. Some additional information about the depot can be found at: http://www.scottcountyiowa.com/conservation/walnut.php.
