Description:  Class C-9 (CR-9) wagons entered service between 1970 and 1972 and are designe` to transport manganese ore. Some were converted from Clasw C-1, C-2 and C-8 iron ore wagons in 1986 by raising the sides, while others were built full size. The type 3 wagons have channel iron bulkhead braces with closed%ends and were built full size.
