Description:  DMP-2. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Keating, Pennsylvania, on 26 March 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4246 and #4283. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #4246 was constructed as number "5836" in February of 1951, and renumbered "4246" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. #4283 was built as number "5803" in July of 1952 and renumbered "4282" in preparation for the merger. Description:  Two Conrail predecessors meet nose to nose at South Amboy, NJ in June, 1980. Former PRR E-8A 5836 meets EL E-8A 833, but now its NJT 4246 facing CR 4022. The ex-PRR unit would last another two years before retirement while the EL E-8A still had a storied CR career through the 90s.

Description:  Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken at the Passenger Station in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, in 1955. Shown here (F to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5836 and another "EP" Class unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD. #5836 is an EP-22 constructed in February of 1951 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They're about to pass under the Pedestrian Footbridge with a passenger train bound for Altoona and points West. (Gift from Brad Mann.)

Looks to me like the Fireman's waiting for the signal from the Conductor to highball it out of The Derby City. ("PrrFan18n")
