Description:  CAGY SW1 #525 was built September 1941 as Elgin, Joliet & Eastern (EJE) #240. Later became Fernwood, Columbia & Gulf #600 and Illinois Central Gulf #622 when FC&G was absorbed by ICG. Unit was acquired by CAGY after ICG divested the property. After leaving CAGY, #525 became Vulcan Materials (VMMX) #4545

Title:  FC&G SW1 600
Description:  Fernwood Columbia & Gulf SW1 number 600 was photographed outside the railroad's engine house at Fernwood, Mississippi. The locomotive was built on 30 September 1941 as Elgin Joliet & Eastern 240 and was purchased by the FC&G on 11 June 1959 as a back-up unit for SW900 number 900. It was assigned Illinois Central Gulf 622 in 1972 and then went to the Columbus & Greenville as CAGY 525.
