Description:  Here is the first of four photos of the wreck that took place at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Kladder Station ~ located between Roaring Spring and Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania ~ on 4 March 1926. It was included in the "Altoona Area Railroad Pictorial History" edited by Linda White and published in 1996 by The Altoona Mirror, page 16. Photo Caption: "Several cars remain off the track after a passenger train traveling from Cumberland, Md., to Altoona derailed at the Kladder Stations Crossing near Catfish Road on March 4, 1926." Visible on the left is the undercarriage of the train's locomotive, Pennsylvania Railroad E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" #3001. The boom of the Railroad's wrecking crane is also visible in the distance.

Description:  Here is the fourth of four photos of the wreck that took place at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Kladder Station ~ located between Roaring Spring and Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania ~ on 4 March 1926. It was included in the "Altoona Area Railroad Pictorial History" edited by Linda White and published in 1996 by The Altoona Mirror, page 17. Partial Caption: "A locomotive lies along the tracks after it crashed into the Kladder Station when its passenger train derailed at the crossing on March 4, 1926." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3001, an E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-3S during 1906, rebuilt as an E-3SD in November of 1917, sold to the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines and renumbered "6099" in March of 1935, and retired in August of 1938 after 32 years of faithful service.

Description:  Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on 5 August 1937. Shown here is Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines engine #6099, an E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as Pennsylvania Railroad E-3D #3001 during 1906, later rebuilt as an E-3SD, sold to the PRSL and renumbered "6099" in March of 1935, and retired in August of 1938 after 32 years of faithful service.
