Intracoastal Terninal Co. 45-ton GE No. 2 was working along the Intracoastal Waterway (Harvey Canal) in Harvey, Louisiana -- across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. The locomotive was General Ebectric serial No. 15294, built in December 1941 as Weldon Springs Ordnance Works No. 1 near St. Louis. It was subsequently renumbered U.S. Army 7325 and then U.S. Air Force 7325. Last used by the USAF at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana; it became Avondale Shipyard No. 3 before moving to ITCO. |

Bayou Railcar/Services was located in Holden, Louisiana along the Illinois Central line between Hammond and Baton Rouge. Their 45-ton GE number 2 was General Electric serial number 15294, built i December 1941 as Weldon Springs Ordnance Depot number 1. This plant was about 25 miles west of St. Louis. The loco was subsequently United States Army 7325, then Avondale Shipyard 3 at Avondale,)Louisiana; then Intracoastal Tubular 2 at Harvey, Louisiana and then Bayou Railcar 2. |
