Description:  Here is a photo via Joseph Lavelle of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #940, an A-2A (0-4-0T) switcher built in the Altoona Machine Shops as an A-2 (0-4-0) during July of 1892, rebuilt as an A-2A (0-4-0T) in September of 1897, renumbered "0940" in 1910, and retired in July of 1915 after 23 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Williams Collection.

Lovell, and published by the Library Of American Transportation during 1984. Photo Caption: "PRR No. 940 of Class Q, a four-wheel saddletank switcher design, was built in July 1892 and scrapped in July 1915. This class later became Class A-2a."

Description:  Here is a photo via Joseph Lavelle of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3248, a B-8A (0-6-0T) tank switcher built in Juniata as Allegheny Valley Railroad B-8 (0-6-0) number "6459" during October of 1907, renumbered PRR "3248" in June of 1910, later rebuilt as a B-8A (0-6-0T), and retired in May of 1952 after 45 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Williams Collection.
