Title:  Little Monsters of Mingo Junction.
Description:  Rumbling through Mingo Jct. elephant-style is a C430-GP9-RSD12-GP7 set in matching dirty black. An anonymous person was kind enough to write "Conrail" in the dirt under 2055's cab number. David H. Hamley photo, from the Ralph L. Phillips collection of the Bay State Model Railroad Museum.

PRR 8554, ES-15M, 1963
Title:  PRR 8554, ES-15M, 1963
Description:  24th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 11 October 1963. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #8554 and #8563. Both are ES-15M's built by EMD in 1953 and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. They are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge with a 64-car coal train on their way to Altoona's Eastbound Receiving Yard.
