Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Springfield, Ohio, on 5 February 1939. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7514, a K-2S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as a K-2 during February of 1910, rebuilt as a K-2S in June of 1911, and retired in March of 1947 after 39 years of faithful service. Harvey. Here is a photo via Rail Photo Service. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7514 and another locomotive whose road number is not recorded. #7514 is a K-2S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as a K-2 during February of 1910, rebuilt as a K-2S in June of 1911, and retired in March of 1947 after 37 years of service. Note the Hostler on the tender's deck refilling the reservoir. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. |
