Title:  Across The Utah Desert
Description:  Streaking along east toward the Colorado border, a Rio Grande freight shuffles along near Thompson, Utah. On point is GP30 3014, a January 1963 EMD product. It was sold to Progress Rail in 1995 and again to Progress Rail in 1996. That same year, it was sold to Cimarron Valley Railroad. It ran on that line until 2018 when it was sold to Klarr Locomotive Industries and moved to Utah.

The duo will deliver it's train to the Rio Grande Provo Yard before returning to Salt Lake City. Back in the early to mid 1990's it was still possible to find Rio Grande GP30's working the locals between Provo and Salt Lake City.
