In storage, permanently |
Description: |
Although the Alcos were retired before or on Thanksgiving Day 1979, some were kept in storage in case of any unexpected traffic surges. Alas, this old warhorse kept in reserve is waiting for a call to action that will never come. There's no evidence U33B no. 2897 turned a wheel under its own power past this date, either.
