Title:  BM 2-8-0 #2653 - Boston & Maine
Description:  Built by Baldwin in February of 1913, it served the BM for nearly 38 years before being retired and scrapped in May of 1951. Original specs - K-8-b class, 61" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine wt of 219,400 lb, tractive effort of 48,200 lb. No locaiton, date or photographer was listed for the photo so approximates were used.

Description:  A work train is waiting out the weekend on the siding at Callicoon. There were still quite a few U23Bs in service at that time, and it was common to see them doing every kind of work. The EL hopper head out is a nice touch.
