Here is page 35 of a 40-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "A Picture Study Of The K-4." First issued in October 1967, revised in September 1976. Section Caption: "Some Modifications." Both of the locomotives pictured here are Pennsylvania Railroad 4-6-2 "Pacifics" built in Juniata. Top Photo: #5484 was built as a K-4S during October of 1927, rebuilt as a K-4SA, and retired in November of 1956. Bottom Photo: #1188 is a K-4S built during July of 1917 and retired in September of 1955. |
