Description:  Date only listed as 1954 and location unknown. Mrs johnson, a native of Brussels Belgium was a noted female photographer and the first woman to take photographs inside the arena at Cheyenne Frontier Days....A task formerly conducted by men due to the dangerous setting. Her photos appeared in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, automotive periodicals, London Times, Daily Mirror, US Camera Annual, British Bhotography Yearbook, Popular Photography Annual while her esteemed son's work appeared in Life magazine, Fortune magazine and many advertisements in the 1950s and 1960s. Together their work spans decades 1940s through the 1970s.

Description:  Duplexes. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide showing Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5542, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during July of 1946 and retired in January of 1956 after just ten years of service. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. (Gift from Brad Mann.)

Description:  J.R. Quinn caught this massive duplex drive PRR 4-4-4-4 #5542 built by Baldwin in July of 1946. Most of these T-1 duplex drives were retired by 1949. Sadly, this one in particular was sold for scrap in 1956. Specs - serial #72785, T-1 class, 80" drivers, impressive 300 psi boiler pressure, 19.5x26" cylinders, engine weight of 502,200 lb, tractive effort of 64,653 lb. J.R.
