Description:  The CP crew has just about completed their run and will be relieved shortly as the arrive at Binghamton with 85 platforms of train 254 headed for Jersey. As usual, the consist is a wild one, including an SD45, getting hard to find this late in history, and one of CP's homebuilt B units, from an ex Southern SD40-2. The Erie station once sat in the foreground of this photo. It was razed shortly after Conrails start up in 1976

Description:  The Conklin Av crossing of the north end of the D&H yard was a great photo spot in the afternoons. Today we see 167 getting a roll going with a red barn and an ex NS SD40 that has been converted into a "B"unit. They have 109 cars in tow.

Description:  Well not exactly. LIRR had some work done on several units at Super Steel Schenectady. They were routed home via a roundabout trip through Binghamton. Heres one trailing on 252, about to enter East Binghamton. This is probably one of the more unlikely combinations: SOO and LIRR lashed up.
