Anthony H. Perles followed this 2-6-0 Mogul on its daily run to and from Tornoto to Port Dover, Ontario. This loco was built by Canadian Locomotive Company (CLC) in 1910 as GTR #1000. Later it was renumbered CN 902 in 1923 and finally #80 in 1951. The loco was scrapped in 1957. |

Here is page 20 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1103, a D-8 (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during July of 1884 and retired in June of 1904 after 20 years of faithful service. |
