Ryan Kertis	General	Marty, The tracks closest to the depot were owned by the Monon, I believe there were two tracks at one time. Perhaps it's just that the Monon didn't want Erie's platform track on their property. The Monon main is the only remaining track left in this scene and there are apartments today where the 833 is standing.	10/23/2008 2:23:03 PM

Kevin Heggi	General	The gap is because the monon and erie built this joint station 10-27-53. the original stations were further north where the tracks were closer. This location was the Monon's choosing and the building was the same as Lowell and Monon with changes only to the roof. The orginal stations were at Fayette street.	12/26/2009 3:39:30 PM

Note the Monoo and Erie heralds on the station sign. Eric Reinert commented to me that "This was the 'new' station on the south side of downtown Hammond."
