| SP 4-8-4 4449 ran over BN's Steven's Pass line in early 1989 in order to participate in a week-long Washington state event at Wenatchee. Weather was northwest dark; which didn't stop hundreds of railfans and others from chasing the train up US2. This was the scene at Skykomish as the Northern took water and before a BN SD40-2 was added for the trip through Cascade Tunnel. |
