Class CCE-8 wagons entered service in 1991 and were reclassified from Class CC-8 wagons. The only obvious visual difference from the Class CC-8 wagon is the box on the near side on the left end, just below the upper bulkhead rib. The brake wheel, shunter stirrups and handholds are on the right end of the A side, which is also always the drawbar end on wagons with a knuckle coupler on one end.Number range 63 546 256 to 63 555 042, Length over coupling lines per wagon pair 24.140m, Length over striker castings 11.270m, Wagon spacing between striker castings 800mm, Length over pusher pads 11.094m, Length between bogie pivot centres 8.310m, Height 3.493m, Width 3.000m, Tare (average) 20,250kg, Load 84,000kg (coal) or 84,000kg (maximum), Capacity 85.66m3. |
