| Rock Island E9 664 a little south of 47th Street in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in May 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was built as UP 903 in February 1956 ( c/n 21264 ) on EMD Order 7524 and was sold to the Rock Island August 1969. It is seen here in a dead line outside the Rocket House, having been replaced by F40PH's. Somewhere it lost its pilot. |
