SAR Class C-2 (Side B) (Type 1)         
Class C-2 (CR-2) wagons entered service between 1970 and 1972 and were converted from Class C-1 in 1973 by raising the sides. They are open wagons designed to transport manganese ore. The type 1 wagons had their sides raised by 382mm. This one wears the Transnet Freight Rail emblem.

Number range 60 043 016 to 60 048 506, Length between couplers 9.740m, Length over headstocks 8.856m, Length between bogie pivot centres 6.096m, Height 2.689m, Width 2.670m, Tare (average) 16,870kg, Load 58,000kg on Spoorbarber bogies or 64,000kg on HS Mk III & VII bogies, Capacity 34.9m3.
