While NOPB now runs bridge excursions with its two restored Wabash pullman coaches, a NOPB "passenger train" in 2003 was a rare event. In this case, the Belt provided engines 1501 (now 2008) and 2002 for an 10-coach AAPRCO bridge excursion. The American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners held their 2003 convention at the NO Union Passenger Terminal. Ten of the 30-some cars at NOUPT were selected for the bridge trip. |
