Here is the front cover of a 22-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "Modern Power For Today's Trains." It was issued originally during July of 1949. Depicted here (R to L) is PRR engine #5901 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5901 was constructed in September of 1945 and is presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. |
