| This is the very first railroad picture I ever shot. These units are idling in Santa Fe East Yard off Exposition Avenue in Dallas below I-30. This whole yard was purchased by DART and is now a light rail yard and shop. The ATSF line running east out of the yard has been ripped up and turned into a trail and the remaining tracks split between KCS and DGNO. Only if I had been a smarter 17 year old, I would have taken more photos. |
