A train of emtpy SCWX coal hoppers idles in the early morning sun while waiting for a new crew and permission to go up to Brownsville Junction and get onto Norfolk Southern trackage. This is near the Assad Metals junkyard. Despite the warm-looking sun, it was a bone-chilling 15 degree morning. The GE AC44CW is commonly used on most CSX coal trains in the area. |
