| Two 2300-class units bring an eastbound coal train through Calvert, Queensland in the dead of winter. (well, winter down here at least!) These narrow-gauge units are late-'90s rebuilds of earlier designs and now carry 2250HP turbocharged EMD 12-645 engines. Although the leading black/yellow scheme is newer than the trailing maroon/yellow paint, it was itself recently replaced by a new QRN's bright yellow motif. |
