The diesel helper shoving the passenger train up/around a curve with some nice fall colors. This was about a half-mile from Trimble Road, Mount Savage, Maryland. The Great Allegheny Passage is just on the other side of the tracks. The EMD GP30 is a restored former Conrail 2175/Reading 3607 engine, as the original Western Maryland Railway never had any GP30s on their roster. Built in April 1962. |
