Susquehanna occasionally used their "passenger" E9s in freight service. While not geared for freight service, the use of E-units mixed with SD45s does have a precedent (Erie Lackawanna in the 1970s, for example). Everything to the left of the train in this view has changed. The eastbound passenger platform canopy was demolished a few years after this photo was taken to make way for a wider access road. |
