3 former PM/C&O structures stand together on the waterfront. The depot has been "restored' and is largly unused. The bascule bridge to the left (noth) used to carry PM and C&O trains north to Bad Axe over the Black river..but has been unused since the early to mid 1970's. A local yacht club wants to raze it to expand their marina. The white tower ("sticking out" of the roof of the depot) is a light tower errected by the C&O to help light the yard at night..but was rarely used. It is now used for holding seasonal decorations. All 3 are the only remaining PM/C&O structures left in Port Huron. |
