The former CNJ Southern Division, once the main line that hosted the Blue Comet, is now a backwater of the Conrail system. Here we look south from BANK tower, where the line leaves the NY & Long Branch, and heads for south Jersey. The track on the left is now cut, but the signals remain. A CR GP15-1 waits out the weeked to cover what freight remains on the line. Its sparse enough at this stage that the train is left on the main. |
